Hello,
In 2016, the International Nursing Doula Association established a private qualification called "Nursing Doula®︎" that allows nursing professionals in Japan utilize their experience and knowledge as a nurse.
The course to obtain this qualification is the Nursing Doula® Training Course sponsored by the International Nursing Doula Association.
This course is the world's first "Nursing Doula® Training Course" where you can learn the basics of practicing in Japan or other countries.
As a licensed nurse, what would you say if you could take advantage of your knowledge and experience and start your own practice as a "Nursing Doula®" in Japan?
Currently, this course is available to those who have obtained the Japanese Registered Nurse qualification and have at least one year of experience as a nurse.
(At the moment, we are planning to expand the scope to include registered nurse qualifications in other countries.)
As a nurse, you can utilize your experience and knowledge to support mothers and children in their daily lives before and after childbirth.
Based on SOAP - "subject" "object" "assessment" and "plan",
we want to convey to families the joy of raising children and how to live a healthy life.
With our experience and knowledge, we can contribute to the creation of a community that brings smiles to the families.
The Nursing Doula® Training Course is designed to help you become a professional postpartum doula.
We often receive questions such as:
Is experience in obstetrics or pediatrics required?
Should I have experience of childbirth or child rearing?
Should I have experience in visiting nursing?
In some cases, you may say,
"I'm so busy with work that I can't take a break..."
That's okay.
After all, you are a nationally qualified "Nurse'',
who has passed the exam after taking many hours of classes and practical training.
So, do not worry about it.
If you have at least one year of experience as a nurse you are qualified to take the course.
The course has 3 steps.
With these 3 steps, including the basics of opening your own business,
the association and alumni members from all over Japan will provide one-on-one support.
You may also apply one step at a time.
By returning to the basics of nursing,
through this course you can reaffirm the joy of nursing.
Classes begin on the first Saturday of every month.
We'd like to welcome you to
give cuddles after childbirth,
bringing smiles of those families,
and to the community and region,
a caring and supportive nursing professional.
Let's become a Nursing Doula®!!
In Japan, a Public Health Nurse, Midwife, and Nurse Act defines "care for medical treatment'' as work.
A nursing doula professional is a nationally qualified person who can support both the mind and body of families before and after giving birth.
To all nursing professionals,
Let's go out to the community and deliver the smiles and peace of mind of nurses to families before and after childbirth.
Nursing Doula®︎
All your nursing and life experience will add value.
Connecting to the society, bringing smiles to family members, leading them to independence,
is the key to becoming a professional postpartum supporter.
You can become a professional by this Nursing Doula®︎"training course.
To all nursing professionals,
I would like to invite you to become a Nursing Doula®︎.
